Bill Kowalski

 Council President

I was born and raised in Fond du Lac, WI. I graduated high school in 1970 and then served with the United States Air Force for 4 years. I started my career with the Fond du Lac Police Department in 1976. During that 28 year span I was a Patrol Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, Firearms Instructor, Armorer, and SWAT member for 15 years. Concurrently, I also studied and received a college degree in Police Adminstration from Mount Senario. In addition,  I co-hosted a radio show called, "Behind the Badge" for 9 years.

I moved to Pembine, WI in 2014. Having been raised as a Lutheran and attending Lutheran churches throughout most of my life. I became a member of Grace Lutheran Church shortly after my move. Everyone was very welcoming and made me want to attend church on a regular basis. Many members are very open with their faith and willingly share their testimony; this has helped me grow in my faith, as well. I also became increasingly involved with church activities, committees and church leadership. Today I am in my second year as Council President.

I have 1 son and 2 daughters and 4 grandchilden who visit as often as possible. In their absence, Grace Lutheran has become like my second family. It surely is a small community congregation, with a big heart, who welcomes everyone with open arms.
